Who Can Join?
The Miramar Young Marines welcomes youth ages 8 through high school graduation who are ready to challenge themselves, develop leadership skills, and become part of something bigger than themselves.
Training Schedule
Our unit meets twice each month on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays, from 7:45 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
All training takes place aboard Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Miramar, providing a unique environment that promotes discipline, teamwork, and personal growth.
More Than a Military Program
The Young Marines is not a military recruitment program. There is no requirement or expectation to join the Armed Forces.

While some Young Marines choose to serve in the military later in life, our primary goal is to help every youth become a successful, responsible, and productive citizen—regardless of the path they choose.
Parent & Volunteer Involvement
We believe a Young Marine's success begins with strong support at home. Parents and guardians play a vital role by encouraging the values taught throughout the program.
Interested in becoming more involved? We are always looking for dedicated Adult Volunteers to help mentor and support our youth. All Adult Volunteers undergo comprehensive background checks and training to ensure a safe and positive environment.
A Year-Round Program
The Miramar Young Marines is a year-round leadership and development program—not a short-term activity.
Youth are continually challenged with opportunities to learn, grow, serve their community, and advance through the Young Marines rank structure. Senior Young Marines are given increasing leadership responsibilities while being supervised by experienced Adult Volunteers.

¿Quién Puede Registrarse?
Los Miramar Young Marines dan la bienvenida a jóvenes de 8 años hasta graduarse de la preparatoria (high school) que estén listos para asumir retos, desarrollar habilidades de liderazgo y formar parte de algo más grande que ellos mismos.
Horario de Entrenamiento
Nuestra unidad se reúne dos veces al mes, el primer y tercer sábado, de 7:45 a.m. a 3:00 p.m.
Todos los entrenamientos se realizan en la Estación Aérea del Cuerpo de Marines de Miramar (MCAS Miramar), un entorno único que fomenta la disciplina, el trabajo en equipo y el crecimiento personal.
Mucho Más que un Programa Militar
Los Young Marines no son un programa de reclutamiento militar. No existe ningún requisito ni expectativa de que los participantes ingresen a las Fuerzas Armadas.

Participación de Padres y Voluntarios
Creemos que el éxito de un Young Marine comienza con el apoyo de su familia. Los padres y tutores desempeñan un papel fundamental al reforzar los valores enseñados en el programa.
¿Le gustaría involucrarse más? Siempre estamos buscando Voluntarios Adultos dedicados que deseen apoyar y orientar a nuestros jóvenes. Todos nuestros voluntarios completan verificaciones de antecedentes y capacitación para garantizar un entorno seguro y positivo.
Un Programa Durante Todo el Año
Los Miramar Young Marines son un programa de liderazgo y desarrollo que funciona durante todo el año, no una actividad temporal.
Los jóvenes reciben continuamente oportunidades para aprender, crecer, servir a su comunidad y avanzar dentro de la estructura de rangos de Young Marines. Los Young Marines de mayor rango asumen responsabilidades de liderazgo mientras son guiados por Voluntarios Adultos experimentados.
