Training Programs

Poolee Training

Poolee Training is an optional head start where youth learn the basics before Recruit Training begins. Poolees train with the unit to build confidence in drill, fitness, and expectations.

Poolees officially become Recruits on Intake Day. Recruit Training progress begins after that.

Recruit Training

Recruit Training is the official required training cycle for all new members. Recruits learn discipline, teamwork, close order drill, physical fitness, and program knowledge while working toward graduation.

Recruit Training requirements begin after Intake Day.

Ongoing Growth

After graduation, Young Marines continue training year-round through drills, activities, and service events. Youth work toward rank advancement, awards, and leadership billets while building confidence and responsibility.
